Community Scholarships T - Z

Cal State East Bay students have many opportunities for scholarships offered by the community. They are administered by organizations other than Cal State East Bay: local businesses, charitable organizations, corporations, local Rotary Club, local Chambers of Commerce.  Students apply for those in various ways (and meet various deadlines) to be considered. A list of community scholarships with links to the organization’s information page and application process, is available as follows.

Tailhook Educational Foundation Scholarship Must be a high school graduate accepted for undergraduate enrollment at an accredited college and natural, step, or adopted child or grandchild of a current or former (US Navy/US Marine Corps/US Coast Guard) Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer, or Naval Air-crewman. Also eligible are individuals or children/grandchildren of individuals who are serving or have served on board a US Navy Aircraft Carrier in ship’s company or the Air Wing.

Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Multiple scholarships available to graduate and undergraduate students majoring in a science field.
The Tree Center Scholarship Program Awarding $500 to college students. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, designed an innovative project that has made a difference in the lives of others, submit an essay and letter of recommendation.
TicketCity Annual College Scholarship Program A $3,000 award available to current full time college students, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and winner of essay contest.
The Tix Team 2014 Law Scholarship for Veterans A $1,000 award available to students currently enrolled in or have been accepted to an accredited law school and an active military or retiree from a military service ( or any branch), and winner of essay contest.
Trichstop Bi-Annual Trichotillomania Awareness Scholarship Awarding $500 to students diagnosed with Trichotillomania. Must submit a 400-word essay.
Tuition Won’t Stop Me Scholarship

Win $1,000 by sharing your advice for paying off student loans.  Applicants create a short video offering their tips for managing student loans.

Tutor the People Essay Scholarship A $500 award available to one student currently enrolled in an accredited high school, college or university in the United States. Applicants must be a senior in high school or an undergraduate in college, and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
The Zieger Firm Bi-Annual Scholarship Awarding $1,000 to college students. Must submit a 500-word essay.
Unplag Student Scholarship Awarding $2,000 to college students. Must submit a 500-word essay.
U.S. Bank Financial Genius Scholarship Chance to win $5,000 scholarship by completing eight easy online Financial Genius education modules.
U.S. English Foundation $1,500 awarded to an American graduate student who wish to continue their education with postgraduate study, focusing on the teaching of English as a Second Language (ESL) for practical application in the United States.
US Post Mail Scholarship An award available to both incoming and current students, who are U.S. citizens and winner of short essay contest.
Ultrasound Scholarships Multipe scholarships available to current college students pursuing a career in diagnostic medical sonography.
Van Sant’s Veterans’ Educational Scholarship Program A $1,100 award available to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces with an Honorable Discharge, and current student.
Ventura County Community Foundation Various award opportunities for undergraduate work and Ventura County residents.
VisaPlace $1000 scholarship open to undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Visual Web Design Scholarship $1,000 offered to college students who are in a web design or computer science program. Must submit a 1,000 word essay.
The Wallin & Klarich Scholarship $3,000 award available to a graduating college senior in California, who will be attending an accredited law school in California. Applicant must have an interest in becoming a criminal justice attorney and have achieved a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate studies.
Washington Hospital Healthcare System Scholarship Opportunities Several scholarships available to students  residing within the Washington Township Health Care District. (Fremont, Newark, Union City, part of Hayward). Please see web site for more information.

Waterlogic’s Clean Water Scholarship Awarding $1,500 to college students who are interested in the power of water. Must submit a 600 - 800 word essay.
WebHostingJams Essay Writing Scholarship Up to $1,000 offered to current full- or part-time student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and is a legal resident of the US.
Ronald D. Weiss Scholarship A $2,500 award available to currently enrolled college students or incoming freshmen. Applicants must submit an essay and be in good academic standing with your current educational institution.
Brian White Academic Scholarship

$1,000 scholarship award open to currently enrolled high school seniors and undergraduate students in the U.S.

Wholesale Halloween Costumes Scholarship Award

A $500 award available to students currently enrolled at an accredited two or four year college in the United States, and winner of pumpkin carving contest.

Women in International Trade $2,000 to a (male or female) student interested in pursuing a career in international trade. Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited Northern California college, university, or graduate institution, with minimum GPA of 3.0.
Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation Which fellowship is right for you? Access & Opportunity, Education, Foreign Affairs, Religion & Ethics, STEM Teaching, Teaching, Women & Gender, Please visit our website. Awards between $1,000-10,000 to qualified minorities enrolled in a technical degree program at the bachelor level or above.
Xero Scholarship $5,000 scholarship for undergraduate or graduate accounting or finance students who are US residents and enrolled full-time at an accredited university or business school in the US.
Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship Must be full-time student enrolled at a 4-year institution with a B average majoring in a technical science or engineering discipline. Must consider themselves to fall into one of these categories: Black/African American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Native American, Alaskan, or Hispanic.
Yanez & Associates Family Law Scholarship Program 2 awards in the amount of $1,000 and $2,000 available to current college students studying law and winner of essay contest.
Zavodnick, Zavodnick & Lasky, LLC Bi-Annual Scholarship Awarding $1,000 to students. Must submit a 500-word essay.
Zenni's Scholarship Poetry Contest 3 awards available in the amounts of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 available to current high school seniors and college students, and winner or poetry contest.
Zip Scanners College Scholarship $500 to current college student or high school senior entering college in the fall, with a GPA of 2.0.
Zumper Apartment Scholarship $1,000 award available to incoming college students. Applicant must submit a short piece of writing.
Zumper Apartments Scholarship Awarding $1,000 to students. Must have helped their peers and/or community “in a tremendous way”. Must submit a short piece of writing.
