Before Classes Begin

Parking Permits

Be sure to purchase your parking permit online in time for it to be mailed to you before classes begin January 2. Visit mycampuspermit.com/eastbay.html For alternatives to driving to campus, see the Parking and Alternative Transportation web site to find shuttle and bus schedules.

Undergraduate Studies Information

For Transfer Students: 

Would you like to meet other transfer students, feel more connected to campus, and make sure your first quarter is successful? Sign up for GS 3011, a Transfer Seminar class. It is one unit and earns credit for Area F. For questions about General Studies courses, call 510-885-2941or e-mail transfergs@csueastbay.edu

Visit the Transfer Student Programs web site to learn about resources available to transfer students at Cal State East Bay. Connect with a Transfer Ambassador and sign up for a Hayward Campus Classroom Tour at https://goo.gl/GhgCnn. Transfer student tours will be available December 18 and 19.

Find your classes before they start

Locate your classes with our campus map or by using your smartphone and the CSUEB Mobile Campus Tour app. Download for free from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Student Services and Hours of Operation

Academic Advising and Career Education (AACE)

Undergraduate students are encourage to see an Academic Advisor early after arriving on campus. Get assistance with course planning, choosing classes, understanding policies and procedures and how to maintain satisfactory academic progress. Advisors are available by drop-in or scheduled appointments. Visit AACE at the Student Services and Administration (SA) Building, second floor or e-mail aace@csueastbay.edu

Enrollment Information Center

Find enrollment-related services such as financial aid, registration, and student financial services/cashier at the Registrar's Office Hours web page. Staff is available to assist you by phone or in person during these hours of operation.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will continue to package aid for students who are registered for classes and process financial aid applications upon completion of student's MyCSUEB To Do list items. 

Drop-In Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Friday 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Visit the SA lobby for assistance.

Phone Hours: Monday - Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Call 510-885-2784 menu option 2.

Food Services and Dining on Campus

Visit the Campus Dish web site to find the hours for dining services and eateries on campus.

Bookmark the Important Dates page. Find important dates for enrolling in classes, drop/add periods, fee payment deadlines, final exams and more.

For books to buy or rent, course supplies, technology equipment, snacks and East Bay apparel, see Store Hours at the Hayward or Concord Campus

Recreation and Wellness (RAW)

Visit the Recreation and Wellness Center web site for hours of operation. All students who pay the health fee have access to the classes and fitness facilities at the RAW.

Student Financial Services, Cashier and Fee Payment

Contact us for questions about paying your fees, due dates, refunds, waivers, installments, and third party billing. Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., and Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Cashiers Office, first floor of the Student Services and Administration building on the Hayward Campus. Learn how to pay with financial aid and other topics at the Paying Your Fees web site.

Visit the University Libraries web site for hours and locations of the libraries, Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA), Learning Commons, Testing Center and more.
