Critical to student success here at Cal State East Bay, the Basic Needs Initiative takes a holistic look at students’ well-being both inside and outside the classroom, from housing and food security to mental health. We are working together to find better ways support our students on their path to graduation.
The Office of Sustainability is also partnered with Pioneers for H.O.P.E: Cal State East Bay’s intervention program addressing the Chancellor's food and housing security initiatives. The scope includes wide-ranging efforts to immediately serve some of our most at risk students facing homelessness, food insecurity, and other various crisis situations.
