Schools are democratic institutions where teachers, administrators, students, staff, parents and other community members possess leadership qualities directly related to achieving school goals.Thus bold, socially responsible educational leaders work effectively with the processes that bring these qualities to the fore front so that they may assist them in the further development of those qualities, and focus them toward equitable outcomes for children and adults.

Minor Program Overview

The Curriculum Option is designed to provide advanced special preparation or competencies for teachers and other educational professionals at all grade levels. The Curriculum Option is based on four core foundation courses and electives. The program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education.

Admission

  1. Bachelors Degree (any area of focus)
  2. 3.0 Overall GPA
  • Summer entry only
  • 6 consecutive quarters
  • 45 Unit Program
  • Up to 13 units transferrable (requires coordinator approval)
  • Applications open in February
