The season reminds us that our work impacts the lives of many. By welcoming and supporting a diverse student body, we help our graduates become socially responsible contributors to society.

Dr. and Mrs. Leroy M. Morishita

Since 2006, Cal State East Bay’s Renaissance Scholars Program has been promoting the success of foster youth through a collaborative network that includes academic, financial, mental, and emotional support. Over the past decade, more than 150 Renaissance Scholars, who are often working to surmount incredible challenges, have participated in the program — and called Cal State East Bay home. This holiday season, we honor their accomplishments and thank you for your continued support of the university.
