Institutional Effectiveness

Cal State East Bay is committed to ongoing development and improvement of our educational community.

The educational needs of our students are of prime importance at Cal State East Bay. Educational Effectiveness can be demonstrated through academic and co-curricular program review, and a culture of inquiry and evidence is supported throughout our institution. Resources are available to faculty, staff and students from the Office of Academic Programs & Services, at the Office of Faculty Development, and throughout the University.

Accreditation is an important accountability indicator, and CSUEB is proud to hold accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities. In June 2015 we received reaccreditation for ten years - the longest reaffirmation possible. This tremendous accomplishment was made possible by the participation of staff, faculty and students, across all divisions of the University. The Commission's action letter and the entire team report are posted on our site, and also on the WSCUC website.

In addition to regional accreditation, individual programs at CSUEB are accredited by discipline-specific accrediting agencies. A list of these programs can be viewed on the Program Specific Accreditation Website.
