College of Health Feasibility Task Force

During her Convocation address for the 2021-2022 Academic Year, President Sandeen announced exploration of the creation of a fifth college with an emphasis on health and related disciplines. Soon thereafter, she convened a Task Force whose charge was broadly to assess the feasibility of such an endeavor and to characterize important considerations for potential implementation.

The Task Force met bi-weekly from early February to mid-June 2022. The group discussed the elements of our charge, including strengths and weaknesses of the current colleges’ configuration, opportunities and threats presented by the possible addition of a fifth college focused on health, as well as fiscal, space, and faculty governance implications.
