Early Start Course Information
Registering for an Early Start Class
Step 1: Students admitted to a CSU campus who are required to complete Early Start will be contacted by their home campus with instructions on how to designate where their Early Start course will be completed. If you plan to attend Cal State East Bay, these instructions will be emailed to you.
Step 2: If you choose to complete the program at Cal State East Bay you will be able to register for your Early Start course immediately. If you choose to complete the requirement at another CSU, you must wait to be contacted (via horizon email) by that campus. If you do not hear from your selected campus within one week, you should contact that campus directly.
Early Start Course Dates
Early Start classes will be offered during the summer. Specific dates and times vary by campus. Visit https://csustudentsuccess.org/course-list for a full list of courses available at the 23 CSU campuses.

Deadlines
If taking Early Start at CSUEB, you must register for your preferred Early Start course date/time by the course registration deadline and submit your fee payment by the fee payment deadline or your course will be dropped. If you are no longer required to participate in the Early Start program and wish to receive a refund, drop the class in MyCSUEB by the first day of class.
