Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Joel’s dedication to golf and his performance in the classroom garnered him the opportunity to earn a scholarship to play golf at Cal State East Bay where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration (Entrepreneurial Studies) in 2017.

During his time at CSUEB, Joel was an All-American Scholar Award recipient, co-captain of the CSUEB’s Men’s Golf Team for the 2016/2017 season, and played an instrumental role in securing CSUEB’s first-ever berth to an NCAA Division II National Championship for Men’s Golf.

Joel has also always had a deep passion for business and technology. This passion grew further while attending CSUEB and living in the San Francisco Bay Area. While still enrolled as a student in 2015, Joel co-founded a company called Tresle, where he currently acts as CEO. Tresle is an online platform that simplifies the transition of ownership for small to medium-sized private companies. Joel manages Tresle's fast-growing operation alongside a diverse team of software developers, designers, and marketing specialists to build out high-quality, innovative products for Tresle’s thousands of customers nationwide. He also works closely with the company’s noteworthy advisors and Board of Directors.
