2022 Commencement Ceremonies

Welcome parents, families, and guests! This year, Cal State East Bay will host several commencement ceremonies on the Hayward campus. Please see below for specific ceremony information. This site will be continually updated with more details, please check back often.

Classes of 2020 and 2021 Ceremony

The university will be hosting a special commencement ceremony for the Classes of 2020 and 2021 on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 5:00 p.m., on the Hayward campus. Please click on the Classes of 2020 and 2021 link for more information on the ceremony.

Class of 2022 Ceremonies

 Specific locations on the Hayward campus will be announced and posted at a later date. All graduates must RSVP to their ceremony by April 4th to be able to receive tickets. Emails were sent to graduates' Horizon email on February 18th to RSVP.

Honors Convocation

Candidates for the baccalaureate degree may be eligible for the awarding of Latin Honors (cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude) at the time of graduation if they have fulfilled the following conditions:

  1. The must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.65 of higher in all coursework and in coursework completed at Cal State East Bay.
  2. They must have completed at least 40 semester-units of coursework in residence (as defined in the University Catalog) at Cal State East Bay.

To qualify to attend the Honors Convocation ceremony, you must meet all of the above criteria assessed at the end of the Fall 2021 term.

Honors Convocation is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022. All eligible graduates will receive a separate invitation along with registration instructions.
