Pioneers for Change Over View
Pioneers for Change (PFC), run through the Center for Community Engagement, is a paid service learning, peer-to-peer, leadership program. The mission of PFC is to provide opportunities for growth and development through team building, service projects, and community engagement internships that encourage students to be leaders on and off campus as well as catalysts for positive change within the community.
The Program is based on the three pillars of personal, professional, and social responsibility.
The Center for Community Engagement hires students for PFC every spring semester for the upcoming academic year.

2022-23: PFC contributed over 1,800 to the community through leading Saturdays of Service and their Community Engagement Internships

Student Symposium 2023
Annual student Symposium “A Celebrationof Service” was hosted on campus in the MPR, April 18th, 2023. Pioneers for Change studentleaders displayed posters showcasing the work they accomplished this year
within the community and as peer leaders for community service.
