Indigenous Dance Festival October 26 - 30, 2015

"The CSU East Bay Festival of Indigenous Dance will bring together a diverse collection of indigenous dance groups for inclusive, participatory dance events October 26 - 30th. The weeklong festival of ceremonial dance and collective human movement, will be led by distinguished Indigenous Dance Artist Rulan Tangen, the director and founder of Dancing Earth.

The festival will demonstrate the power of inclusive community by giving participants an experiential understanding of indigenous dance through five different cultural lenses, highlighting the interconnectedness of place, creative arts, cultural identity, spirituality, and the history of indigenous peoples.
