Beyond the Chalk: Guest Lecture Series

The Beyond the Chalk Guest Lecture Series provides the opportunity for faculty, staff and students to submit proposals requesting funds to bring social justice focused speakers to Cal State East Bay. This is a great opportunity to expand co-curricular programs and to further enhance the university's mission by creating culturally relevant learning opportunities for our students. We are currently accepting proposals for the 2019 - 2020 Academic Year.

Our Mission

The Beyond the Chalk Guest Lecture Series sponsored by the Diversity and Inclusion Student Center, is rooted in educating the CSU East Bay community on issues of social justice and activism. The yearlong series reflects the diverse student body of Cal State East Bay, promotes social consciousness, and a deeper understanding of the complex issues in our society as they relate to marginalized communities.
