Visiting in Person

We look forward to seeing you!

RAW Center operations have been developed in accordance with current California Department of Public Health and Alameda County Public Health Department guidelines for gym, fitness, and dance studios. Policies and procedures have been made in collaboration with Risk Management, Environmental Health & Safety, and Student Health & Counseling Services on campus.

Covid Precautions

Members will be required to abide by Cal State East Bay Student Code of Conduct and RAW Center Policies and Procedures. Additional COVID-19 prevention policies are required of all members within the facility. Members who refuse to comply may have their membership suspended.

RAW employees have been trained accordingly and will on site to monitor the facility and to answer questions and assist members when needed.

Cleaning Procedures

Sanitation stations have been set up throughout the RAW and include an approved and effective cleaning solution spray and single use cloth wipes for members to wipe equipment down throughout their workouts. Additionally, RAW Staff will continue to thoroughly clean equipment throughout the day, at closing, and after each group fitness class. Hand sanitizer and cleaning products are available throughout the facility

Face Covering Protocols

Effective June 27, face coverings will no longer be required, however, face coverings continue to be a recommended public health practice, and we know that many in our university and broader community choose to wear them even though they are fully vaccinated.

Focus on keeping yourself safe. With the change in regional masking requirements, many will choose not to wear a facial covering in public spaces. But some people will continue to wear masks, regardless of their vaccination status, to protect themselves and others. Respect others and their decisions.

The university has KN95 masks for students and employees, plus onsite testing. Updated information is on the Today Toward Together website.
