The Writing Skills Test consists of an analytic essay that requires you to demonstrate that you can think and write critically. You must pass the WST and satisfy the UWSR with a score of Clear Competence (8) to meet the requirement.

WST can be taken maximum of two times.

Students will have a choice of two topics. Students will have 15 minutes to plan/outline the essay and 75 minutes to write.

Time of the Test: Test Administration takes approximately 2.5 hours.  The actual test time is 90 minutes. (Additional time allowed for admitting students, filling in student information, reading directions, distributing and collecting test material).

Students are required to remain in the room for the entire test period and/or until they are dismissed.
