Transfer-In | Defer Your Application | Change of Program

Step 1: Choose Your Program

Choose a program that fits your needs. Please refer to our programs page for details on each program.

Step 2: Submit Your Application + Pay Application Fee

Choose a convenient way to submit your application. (You only need to do one, not both.)

Submit your application online. 

Paper Application

Download the application forms for the program you're applying to.

You will not be able to submit your application without paying $150 application fee online. 

You may attach an application fee (bank draft, chashier's check, personal check, or money order) with the application or pay the fee online after you receive your Net ID (CSUEB Student ID).

Step 3: Activate Your Net ID

You will receive your NetID (CSUEB student identification number) in your admission package or by email from ALP. Activate your Net ID as soon as you receive your Net ID information.

Step 4: Wait for Your Admission Letter and I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility)

We will process your completed application as quickly as possible. Please allow at least one week for processing. 


Transfer-In students

If you are transferring in to ALP from another institution in the United States, please fill out this Transfer Form in addition to your program online application. You will receive an admission letter only, and after completing the transfer process, new I-20 will be issued following New Student Orientation and class registration.


Defer Your Application to Another Quarter

You may request to defer your application to a future quarter for an additional $150 application fee. 

Step 1: Contact the ALP office at alpgen@csueastbay.edu with your request to defer your application.

Step 2: Complete one of the following applications and submit it to the ALP office:

Change of Program

Step 1: Contact the ALP office at alpgen@csueastbay.edu with your request to change your application.

Step 2: Submit required materials for the new program you want to change to.

Step 3: Pay the $150 application fee.
