The California State University East Bay Foundation is a growing, dynamic, and innovative non-profit, 501(c)(3) located in Hayward, California. The Foundation is an integral part of the academic and community life at California State University, East Bay and exists to provide programs and support in strengthening the University's mission.
We are a nonprofit public benefit corporation and have provided and augmented funding for educational-related services at Cal State East Bay not otherwise available through or funded by the state university system.
Funds are received from federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as private individuals and groups. These funds, their use, distribution, and overall custodianship are governed by an eleven member Board of Directors drawn from the faculty, students, community, and administration in accordance with the Foundation's Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and policies and procedures.
In addition to being responsible for the post award administration of research contracts and grants, the Foundation administers the campus Bookstore.
The University Bookstore is a non-profit self-supported part of the California State Univeristy, East Bay Foundation. Any proceeds are donated to the University. The mission of the University Bookstore is to support the educational endeavor of the University by providing the resources required for success and desire to enhance the University experience. The University Bookstore also maintains an entreprenurial environment to meet the evolving needs of the campus, to provide jobs to students, and to strengthen the interface with the community.
