Voluntary System of Accountability (VSA)

VSA is a collaborative effort among the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), the National Association of State Universities and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC), and the public higher education community. The California State University has been very involved in the launching of the VSA project.

VSA provides standard data among four year public universities to allow the public to review and compare data among those institutions. VSA is designed to show accountability to the public; a measure of educational outcomes to show effective educational practices; and assemble information that is accessible, understandable, and comparable.
