Mission

The mission of Institutional Effectiveness & Research is to provide timely, systematic, and insightful data and analysis that supports University planning, informs policy and decision-making, aligns resources allocation, and assesses institutional effectiveness. This office is committed to building a culture of inquiry, collegiality, accountability, and equity to support the University mission and students’ success.

 

About Cal State East Bay

Cal State East Bay is one of the most diverse campuses in the United States and is proud of its tradition of offering students a high quality, comprehensive, education in a setting of academic rigor and natural beauty. With increasing enrollment, over 100 new faculty hires in the last 5 years, and renewed emphases on sustainability and social justice, Cal State East Bay is now a destination campus for many students both within California and internationally.

Hispanic Serving Institution

In 2015, Cal State East Bay was awarded a five-year, $2.6 million, Hispanic Serving Institution grant from the U.S Department of Education to strengthen the success and retention rate of Hispanic and low-income students. Over the last 5 years, enrollment of Hispanic/Latino students increased by over 14%. 

AANAPISI

In 2016, Cal State East Bay was awarded a second Asian American & Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) grant from the U.S Department of Education. The grant aims to provide academic support and increase retention and graduation rates for Asian Pacific Islander transfer students.
