Carmen Crum

Service Area: Service Area Santa Clara County; San Jose Area High Schools and Cabrillo College, De Anza Community College, Evergreen Valley College, Foothill College, Gavilan College, Mission College, Monterey Peninsula College, San Jose City College, West Valley College. 

Carmen was born and raised in Rome, Italy by her Peruvian parents, where she completed her education up to high school, then moved to London, England where she lived for five years and studied Communication and Languages at a Community College. In 1996, she moved to California and carried her studies on Continuing Education at Stanford University while working as a Faculty Assistant.

Carmen is fluent trilingual in Italian,Spanish and English. A Cal State East Bay employee since 2005, she strives to help students achieve their goals with a positive and genuine attitude, going the extra mile to ensure they get the best service. She is an avid runner, an Ultra Marathoner and a Spartan Racer, she loves to share the gift of health and fitness with family, friends and coworkers.

Jamee Robbins

Service Area: Contra Costa County (Antioch, Brentwood, Concord, Lamorinda, Martinez, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, San Ramon Valley and Walnut Creek); Solano and Sonoma Counties; Los Medanos, Diablo Valley, and Solano community colleges; and inquiries about the Cal State East Bay Concord Campus.

Originally from Antioch, CA, Jamee attended college out of state (Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT), and received her B.S. in Business Management, and is currently working on a M.S. in Business Administration. Jamee believes that college is an important opportunity for students. She enjoys making connections with students and helping them identify their career goals with the many programs  at Cal State East Bay. Jamee likes serving as a resource to help students through the application, major selection,  and admission journey. She enjoys partnering with high school and college counselors to help make the transition for students as smooth as possible.


Kumar Krishan B.S., B.A.

Service Area: Alameda County (All high schools in Alameda, Albany, Oakland, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, and San Lorenzo); Central Valley (All high schools) and Central Valley North (Community colleges - Merced, Modesto and San Joaquin Delta); and West Contra Costa County (San Pablo, El Cerrito, Richmond).

Kumar was born in the Republic of Fiji and raised in the East Bay in the dynamic city of Oakland. He comes to Cal State East Bay with several years of experience helping students find their path to higher education. A Cal State East Bay graduate, he earned a B.S. in business administration and a B.A. in art studio option. As a former transfer student from Chabot College, Kumar is a good resource for students and counselors, and can offer his personal experiences as a Pioneer. Kumar is also an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and season ticketholder, and rarely misses a game.

Lena Korn-Clark M.S.

Service Area: Welcome Center visitors, private schools, and out-of-state inquiries

Lena holds two bachelor of science degrees in marine biology and zoology from Humboldt State University, and worked in the animal care field before returning to higher education. She graduated from Cal State East Bay with an M.S. in recreation and tourism with a focus on running a visitor's center. The first in her family to attain a college and master's degree, Lena has been working in the Welcome Center for over three years. Lena loves to travel the world with her college sweetheart. They usually can be found in Disneyland or on a Caribbean cruise when they're not at home hanging out with friends and their cats.


Louise Martinez

Service Area: Alameda County (All high schools in Hayward, Fremont, Newark and Union City; Chabot, Laney, Los Positas and Ohlone Colleges)


Marc Strong

Service Area: East Bay Community College and High Schools - College of Alameda, Berkeley City College, Merritt College. All high schools and community colleges in San Francisco County, San Mateo County, and Marin County. City and Island of Alameda (Alameda High, Encinal High School, St. Joseph's Notre Dame High School, and the College of Alameda) City of Oakland-McClymonds High School

Marc studied at San Francisco State University and received his B.A. in international relations. He also has an M.A. in political science from Howard University where he began his career teaching in high school programs as an instructor for the National Young Leaders Conference and the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. Marc enjoys advising students about admission, and helping them identify their career choice by highlighting Cal State East Bay's many major subject offerings. He advises students to find a mentor or internship to build real-world job skills prior to graduation, a job search, or pursuing a graduate education. Marc enjoys Lake Merritt in Oakland, art house movie theaters, and dining out in San Francisco, his college stomping grounds.
