Melani Avalos: Building Her Future on a Strong Foundation

Melani Avalos prioritized her education from an early age, soaking in the hands-on experiences when accompanying her dad to work. After finding Cal State East Bay's construction management program, she knew it was a match for her. In 2021, Avalos became the first person in her family to graduate and earn a college degree.

Today, Avalos works for Hensel Phelps and is building a better future for her family.
