Veteran Student Services

California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) is proud to welcome men and women who have served in the United States military. CSUEB deeply appreciates the sacrifice you have made to protect our country through your military service.

The purpose of Veteran Students Services is to provide wraparound student support services to all CSUEB veteran students. Program services are organized around two key services: (1) one-on-one holistic academic counseling that includes academic advisement, career & goal planning, scholarship guidance, graduate school advising, guidance on balancing academic and personal life and (2) processing educational benefits and benefits coaching/guidance on the effective use of VA benefits and/or other resources to achieve your education and career goals.

Additionally, the program offers peer-mentoring, tutoring, referrals to other departments and external agencies and opportunities for networking and building a community of veteran students. Veteran Students Services is a student centered program that works closely with the CSUEB Student Veteran Organization to promote the needs of veteran students in the university community.

NOMINATE A VET OF THE SEMESTER

Nominate a faculty, staff, student veteran or community member for the Spring 2021 CSU EAST BAY Veteran of the Semester Award. The nominee’s duties in the military are not criteria for the nomination, but will be part of the biography once the person is selected. The service must be separate from paid job duties, such as employment at the VA Medical Center.

Also, to thank you for submitting a nomination, a FREE T-shirt will be sent to you on behalf of the Student Veterans Organization and Veteran Student Services!

Nominations can be submitted by April 9, 2021 here.
