Summer Writing Group

A colorful flyer titled “WAC Faculty Writing Group 2026” invites faculty to join a summer writing group. The flyer explains that the group offers dedicated writing time, Zoom meetings, accountability, and a supportive community for projects such as research, syllabi, grants, or articles. A schedule lists five sessions: June 4 (Week 1: Getting Started, 10–11:30 on Zoom), June 18 (Week 2: writing with others, time decided by group), July 2 (Week 3: setting July goals), July 23 (Week 4: quiet writing time, time TBD), and August 6 (Reflect & Write: share reflections and continue writing). The design includes bright colored blocks for each date, a “Join us!” label, and graphics of a laptop and pen on a black background.

Join us this summer on June 4, June 18, July 2, July 23, and Aug. 6 for a space to write and be supported by faculty on our summer writing projects.

End of Semester Co-Working Session

A flyer titled “End of Semester Co-Working Session” invites faculty to “Grade Together.” The flyer describes a supportive, low-pressure Zoom space for grading, focused work time, and community support. The session takes place on Friday, May 15 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to bring grading, final projects, or other end-of-semester tasks and work alongside colleagues. The flyer includes a background image of CSU East Bay campus signage and provides a Zoom link and email contact for joining.

As we head into finals, I’m hosting a low-pressure, co-working session to give us some dedicated time and community support as we finish grading and wrap up the semester.
