Applying to the Program

Applying for Fall Semester:

Students who have completed all four foundation courses should apply for Fall Semester. The application period for Fall Semester opens on October 1st on Cal State Apply.

Applying for Summer Term:

Students who need to take any foundation courses need to apply for Summer, in order to start the MSA program.  

U.S. students can apply for summer admission on Cal State Apply starting February 1st. If you have difficulty applying for Summer contact the University's Graduate Admissions Office at for assistance.

International students may apply for Fall Semester. If needed, the application will be changed to Summer upon admission to the program.

Required Admission Documents:

  1. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  2. Official GMAT (or GRE) scores
  3. Official TOEFL or IELTS scores required for international students
  4. Personal statement (if not included on the application form)
  5. A resume 
  6. Recommendation letters are not required, but recommended

Application Process

  1. Submit an application form for the MSA program through Cal State Apply with an application fee of $55. Fall application opens on 10/1 on Cal State Apply each year. Summer application is available on Cal State Apply on February 1.
  2. Mail the official transcripts (sealed and stamped) from all colleges and universities attended to:

3. Request official GMAT or GRE test scores to be sent to CSUEB, 

    • GMAT -MSA program Code - TCV-K9-86
    • GRE –CSUEB code – 4011
  1. For international students, request official TOEFL or IELTS scores to be sent to CSUEB -Code 4011.

  5. Recommendation letters are recommended, but not required. You can have the recommendation letters sent to the address above or to the email address above.  
  6. Applicants can send a scanned copy of the official transcripts, GMAT/GRE and TOEFLscore reports for interviews or for consideration first to the official transcripts and test scores must be submitted before an applicant can be admitted to the program.
  7. Only completed applications will be reviewed. Any application that has missing documents will not be reviewed until it is completed.
