Initial advising:   Immediately after you declare Liberal Studies as your major, you should seek advising from the Liberal Studies advisors listed above for course planning.  After your initial advising, you should contact your advisor at least once an academic year afterwards.  You may seek advising from your Liberal Studies advisor for issues about your LBST major by emails, phone calls, or scheduled or drop-in appointments in person.

Major check for graduation:    You must file for graduation officially to let the university know your intent to graduate.  The deadline for graduation filing is the 2nd week of the term before the term of graduation (e.g., if you want to graduate in Spring, your deadline for filing is the 2nd week of Winter).  Please see details for graduation filing at this link http://www.csueastbay.edu/registrar/graduation/filing-for-graduation.html .  Once you have filed for graduation with the university, your Liberal Studies advisor will review and prepare for your Major Check form (unless you are in the BPEP Program) automatically, and submit it to Records on your behalf.

BPEP students:  All BPEP students should contact Prof. Guo directly for advising and major checks.
