Pioneer newspaper goes to weekend Zucchini Festival

Look for students, alumni and staff of The Pioneer newspaper when you visit the Hayward Zucchini Festival from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 21-22. 

Graduate Stephen Padilla, political science/pre law ’10; graduate student Nizar Gulamhussein, communication ’11; students Maulik Makasana, senior in computer science, and Ginger Staley, senior in communication; and Maggi Sherwin, communication advertising and account coordinator, will be in booth M in the Community Circle section at Kennedy Park.

They hope to inform the public about the newspaper’s print and on-line versions, it’s strong community ties, advertising opportunities for the community, and range of coverage beyond the campus.
