Pioneer swimmers collect CSCAA Team Scholar All America honors

The CSUEB swim team collected honors for their work both in the pool and in the classroom.

Following a record breaking season, the Pioneer women's swimming team was named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Division II Scholar All America Team, which was presented to 42 college and university swimming and diving teams who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. As a team, the Pioneers accumulated a 3.27 grade point average.

Not only did the swim team maintain a high academic standards, but they also broke a total of 15 records during the 2011-12 campaign - 14 school records and one 11 NCAA “B” cuts. The Pioneers finished with a record fifth place finish at the 2011-12 Pacific Collegiate Women's Swimming Conference Championships.
