Compost, Recycling, and Trash
Disposal of compost, recycling, and trash is handled in a variety of ways on the Hayward Hills campus and is coordinated by Facilities Development & Operations.
Dining Commons, University Unions, and the Recreation and Wellness Center (RAW) sort pre-consumer compost. On-campus residents sort recycling and trash in their rooms prior to disposing of these items in appropriate dumpsters throughout Pioneers Heights.
Other than these locations, the general campus uses the ‘single stream’ approach where all compost, recyclables, and trash are put into one container and sorted at an off-campus facility.
