QUESTIONS ABOUT FRESHMAN FAMILY ORIENTATIONS

Our Freshman Family orientations are one day sessions designed to address the many questions and concerns that parents and family members have as their students prepare for college.  The sessions run approximately 8:00am - 5:00pm.

There are two types of Freshman Family orientations: English language and Spanish language, also called Ven Conoce Nuestra Universidad.

Freshman Family (English language) dates:

Session 1: Friday, June 17

Session 2: Friday, June 24

Session 3: Friday, July 15

Session 4: Saturday, July 23

Session 5: Friday July 29

Ven Conoce Nuestra Universidad dates:

Session 1: Friday, June 24

Session 2: Saturday, July 23

Please submit our Registration Form online. 

If you change your mind about the date, or how many family members will attend, please do not submit the form again.  Instead, you can make updates to your original submission.

There are two payment options: online or in person

(1) To pay online after registering, please visit our Cashnet website.  Once your student logs in with their net ID and password, click "orientation for non-students" on the right hand side to begin payment.  Credit card or echeck is accepted via Cashnet.  *Please bring a confirmation/receipt of your online payment*

(2) To pay in person the morning of Freshman Family orientation, please bring cash or check (made out to Cal State East Bay).  Note: we cannot accept credit cards in person, only via Cashnet.

Families are not able to stay in the same dorm as their students.  However, if you are interested in overnight housing accommodations, Pioneer Housing offers a separate on campus living area for families at a very reasonable rate.
