Online Police Reporting System

Whenever possible, the University Police Department will assist the University community in retrieving lost property.

You may file an online lost property police report if your lost property meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • The lost item you are reporting is state-owned property.
  • You plan to replace your lost item and must file a police report to receive a replacement.
  • Lost University Keys

The campus lost and found is located at the University Police Department. For more information about lost and found items, please contact 510-885-3791, option #2.

**FILE REPORT**

A hit and run is when a vehicle leaves the scene of an accident without providing the required license, insurance or vehicle information.

For example:

  • You discovered your vehicle was damaged while parked and have no information about who damaged your vehicle.

**FILE REPORT**

Theft is the physical removal of an object without the owner's consent.

For example:

  • You left your cell phone on a classroom desk. After returning to the classroom to retrieve your phone, it was no longer there.
  • You discovered your clothing was missing from a Pioneer Heights laundry room. 

**FILE REPORT**

Vandalism is the willful, intentional destruction or defacement of another person's property.

For example:

  • You discovered permanent maker of spray paint was used to deface a wall or object.

Vehicle burglary is any property stolen from within a motor vehicle.

For example:

  • You park your vehicle in a parking lot. When you return, you discover your vehicle's window shattered and a backpack missing from within the vehicle.

Vehicle tampering or vehicle vandalism is when a vehicle part is stolen or damaged.

For example:

  • You discover a part of your vehicle is missing such as a catalytic converter, tires, etc.
  • You discovered your vehicle window was shattered or your vehicle was “keyed” resulting in damage.
