Cal State East Bay is pleased to host Welcome Day 2018, a special day for admitted undergraduate freshman and transfer students and their families on Saturday, April 21. 

Please join us to get a more in depth look at Cal State East Bay and learn about its four academic colleges, student services, student life and leadership programs and more. We want to show you why Cal State East Bay should be your first choice university! Please note that Welcome Day is not a substitution for the mandatory freshman and transfer Orientation or GE Advising Sessions for Freshman.

Next Steps Admission Information presentations will be offered for both Freshman and Transfer students at this event. Graduate students should contact their program directly for next steps admission details. You will also have an opportunity to learn about your financial aid options and meet current Cal State East Bay students.

Cal State East Bay offers an inspiring setting for personal growth, career exploration, academic achievement, and friendship. It's also the perfect place to appreciate a 360-degree panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay from the serenity of the Hayward Hills. At Welcome Day 2018, you can choose to take part in Campus Tours, Housing Tours, and Recreation and Wellness (RAW) Tours. If you are not able to attend this event, please know that you have an open invitation to tour anytime by visiting our Welcome Center website or by contacting (510) 885-2556.

There are several hotel and motel choices conveniently located within 5 miles of Cal State East Bay's Hayward Campus that can accommodate visitors. Driving Directions 

Cal State East Bay's Hayward Campus is easily accessible by major freeways and public transportation. Visit our Driving Directions website for more information and remember to check local road and freeway reports to ensure that your drive is convenient. 

Parking Information

All parking lots will be available for free event parking and a parking permit is not required on this day. However, the closest parking lots to the event are Lots K and H. Please note however that due to the size of this event, Lots K and H will be the first to fill up, so it is important that you allow yourself ample time to find alternative parking. You may also find the following lots to be convenient to park in: G, F, E. See Campus map for locations.

Accessibility Information 

Please be advised that Cal State East Bay is committed to providing equal and integrated access for individuals and families with disabilities. The university has created a Detailed Map which highlights the accessibility features for major buildings and areas including automatic doors, ramps, and elevators. Accessibility parking is also available in all lots. Lot K and H are the closest option for parking in anticipation of the Welcome Day opening ceremony. Parking is free for the event.

Please be advised that the university does not provide personal attendants or wheel chairs. It is the sole responsibility of campus guests to arrange these logistics in anticipation of the Welcome Day 2018 program which spans across the entirety of the campus.
