Admission decisions are typically made 8 to 12 weeks after all application materials are received.
Even after you are admitted, you still may have outstanding requirements required to complete your application.

Check the status of your application and see a list of your outstanding requirements, through MyCSUEB. To access MyCSUEB you will need a NetID and password. All Cal State East Bay applicants receive a personal NetID within 48 hours after submitting the application for admission. Be sure to review the email immediately to activate your NetID and set up your Horizon email account.

Please allow two to four weeks for the receipt of transcripts and test scores to be recorded.

Submit all required transcripts, test scores, and any other required documentation by the document deadlines.

Visit How to Submit Documents for instructions on how to send documents.

Next Steps

Your NetID is your personal East Bay identification number that allows you online access to student self-service systems such as Cal State East Bay email, Blackboard, and MyCSUEB.

After submitting an application for admission, you will receive your NetID by mail with instructions for setting your personal password. Please keep your NetID and password in a safe place. For assistance or questions about NetID or resetting passwords, please visit the NetID page online or contact the servicedesk@csueastbay.edu.

After you have activated your NetID, you can set up your Horizon email account. All students receive a Horizon student email account. This email account is where important University communications will be sent about your academic status, classes, fees, financial aid, and more. In addition, this is the e-mail address professors will use to communicate with you. It is your responsibility to check your Horizon e-mail regularly for official University notices and updates.

You can log in to your Horizon e-mail account with your NetID and password. Access and learn to use your Horizon student email at https://horizon.csueastbay.edu/.

MyCSUEB is your personal student portal. Check the status of your application and see a list of your outstanding requirements, through MyCSUEB.

It is important that you check your MyCSUEB "To Do List" items regularly for items that need to be completed and submitted for your application.

If the item status indicates "initiated" that means the item is needed and action is required on your part.  You must submit all requested documents by their deadlines

Please allow two to four weeks for the receipt of transcripts and test scores to be recorded.

To access MyCSUEB you will need a NetID and password.

If you have not done so, please submit a FAFSA application as soon as possible. Use the Cal State East Bay School Code 0001138 when applying.

U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other eligible non-citizens can apply for financial aid. Non-citizens who attended a California high school for at least three years can complete the California Dream Act Application at dream.csac.ca.gov.

Monitor your MyCSUEB portal for any document requests. Students are encouraged to quickly submit requested documents to avoid any delays in the processing of their financial aid awards. Visit the Financial Aid page to learn more.
