Assistive Technology Office

What is ATO?

Assistive technology is any item, piece of equipment, product or system (whether acquired commercially or off the shelf, modified, or customized) that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with and without disabilities.

The Assistive Technology Office (ATO) is committed to providing students and faculty with the technological resources necessary to ensure compliance to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at CSU East Bay. Our services consist of two primary service areas: Student Services and Faculty Services. They include, but are not limited to: student technology assessments, training, EI & T technical advice for purchasing VPATs, assistive technology hardware/software loans, and faculty training.
