How do I log into Google Workspace?

  1. Go to https://gmail.com
  2. Enter your campus email address, this will take you to a NetID login page.
  3. Login with your NetID and password, then also complete Duo authentication.
For purposes of security and privacy, University policy requires all CSU East Bay employees (including student assistants) to: 
  1. Use your CSU East Bay email for all university business – for both sending and receiving. 
  2. Use your University email for communication in all business systems, including those that do not require NetID authentication.
  3. List your University email in the campus directory, faculty profile page, on your syllabus, etc.
  4. Turn off any automatic forwarding you may have set up that sends your University email to a non-University email address.

If you have both student and employee accounts, your options to access them both are:

  • Logout of one before logging into the other.

  • After logging into one account, open a different browser to login to the other account.

  • After logging into one account, open a private or incognito session in the same browser to login to the other account.
