Outstanding Educational Program

Given to an organization that exhibits the following:

  • Activities consist of educating, instructing and/or providing further academic support and learning for students.
  • Educational programs. I.e. guest speakers/lectures, demonstration, hands-on project.
  • An event or program designed to enhance the academic experience outside of the classroom.

Given to a campus community member that demonstrate examples of a leader creating and fostering sustainability through the following:

  • Contributed to the campus community through their actions
  • Consistent flexibility, initiative, creativity, and perseverance through its virtual activities and programs
  • They are a role model for other organizations on campus

Given to an event or program that promotes a deeper understanding of diversity and social justice topics to create intercultural understanding, respect, appreciation, and skills development and demonstrates:

Given to an organization that exhibits the following:

  • Have been innovative with their social media  marketing efforts
  • Have hosted consistent virtual events throughout the year
  • Demonstrated that they are role models for other organizations on campus marketing

The Student Organization of the Year award is given to organizations that exhibit the following:

  • Contributed to the campus community through their actions
  • Consistent flexibility, initiative, creativity, and perseverance through its virtual activities and programs

Outstanding Student Leader

A student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and has made a positive impact on campus and the surrounding campus community. Nominations should demonstrate examples of the following:

  • Promotes diversity and social justice
  • Works collaboratively across the community
  • Acts responsibly and ethically
  • Evokes the campus mascot of being a Pioneer

Outstanding Organization of the Year

A staff/faculty advisor who has demonstrated outstanding support and personal commitment to student organization(s). Staff/Faculty nominee must currently be serving in the role of an on-campus student organization advisor. Nominations should demonstrate examples of the following:

  • Positive interactions with the student organizations
  • Provides time, talent, energy and service to the student organization
  • Guides the development and growth of the organization and student leaders

Outstanding Service Leadership

A student who has demonstrated a significant commitment to unpaid/volunteer service with on-campus or off-campus community. This award recognizes a student committed to contributing to the public good, and providing service and philanthropic efforts through their student organization, in collaboration with a student organization, and/or across the campus community.

  • Active participation in volunteer and service events 
  • Serves as a role model and leader among their peers
  • Coordination of programming/events focused on philanthropy and/or community service

A campus leader who has demonstrated initiative, leadership, productivity, and a dedication to foster the university's commitment to sustainability.
