The CSUEB MESA University Program serves Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Construction Management transfer students.

• Computer Science
• Data Science
• Engineering:
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Construction Management

Other majors are welcome to apply, but will be considered on a case by case basis.

MESA University Program Active Member Participation Requirements

To be an active member in MESA U, you must complete the following per semester:

1. Community Service: Volunteer to support 1 MESA event with planning, set up, preparations, etc.
2. Career Preparation: Attend 1 MESA career workshop, panel, or event
3. Advising: Attend 1 meeting with your academic advisor

If you do not complete the 3 requirements per semester, you will be moved to inactive status in our database and will NOT be eligible for:

• MESA mailing list
• Attending site visits or company tours
• Internship, job, and/or networking opportunities
• Letters of Recommendation or reference from MESA staff
• And other resources, benefits, or supports offered by MESA

• Career preparation workshops and development
• Networking with professionals
• Access to internships, mentorships, and other opportunities
• Be in the running to participate in an all-expenses paid Student Leadership Conference. You can see an overview of the event here.
• Have priority to serve as a paid judge for the annual MESA College Prep Program Preliminary Competition (aka MESA Day) held on our campus in March
• MESA branded merch
• Laptop loaners and trial subscriptions
• An opportunity to help guide the program moving forward
