Trina Ostrander, executive director of Cal State East Bay’s STEM Institute, will be honored at this year’s Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame luncheon March 24.

Ostrander was one of several inductees to this year’s Hall of Fame. According to a press release, she was honored in part because of her recent work promoting education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.

The event, co-sponsored by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors and the county’s Commission on the Status of Women, will raise money to support local organizations that serve women and families in Alameda County as well as the Mary V. King “Leading the Way” scholarship fund.

Tickets to the luncheon are $100, and more information is available at whof.acgov.org.
