Three large pieces by Kimberly Rowe, ’99 Studio Art, may be seen in the inaugural “Cinema Place Art Gallery” exhibition at the Hayward Arts Council’s new 5,000 square foot site, 1061 B Street, Hayward, opening tonight – Friday, Jan. 21. The opening reception will be from 5-7 p.m. Admission is free; everyone is welcome.

Gallery hours are Sunday through Wednesday, noon-4 p.m., Saturdays from noon-6 p.m., and Thursday and Friday from noon-8 p.m.

Rowe, a multidisciplinary artist who went on to receive a MFA at the San Francsico Art Institute in 2009, describes her work as a hybrid of delicate handy-work and tough construction.

She has a solo exhibition at LSarc, San Francisco; and has shown at the Herbst Pavilion, San Francisco, the San Francisco Art Institute, and at Tri-Valley Unity, San Ramon.

She has been in group exhibitions in such places as The Museum of Pocket Art Online Gallery, The Lab (MOPA Traveling Exhibition), San Francisco; Riverside Art Museum; and Red Ink Studios, San Francisco. Last year she was an affiliate artist-in-residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito/San Francisco.
