Public Affairs and Administration Graduate Student Lori Moore has received double good news. She is a finalist in the Class of 2011 Presidential Management Fellows Program run by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and has been accepted to participate in the Full Access Student Summit on Career Exploration in San Jose.

"Being selected as a PMF finalist is very prestigious, especially considering the amount of competition for the spots. It's been several years since we've had a CSUEB MPA student selected as a finalist," said Toni Fogarty, associate professor and chair of PUAD.

The PMF program is an opportunity for graduate students to find federal agency employment and start a public service career. The San Jose program connects students with large corporations such as Google, Microsoft, NBCUniversal, Walmart and AT&T.

Moore hopes to pursue a career in public service after receiving her master's in public administration (public management and public human resources management) in June.
