Stanford and Cal State East Bay Peace Innovation Labs and Cal State East Bay Associated Students Inc. will host TEDxHayward on May 19. This year's theme of peace innovation will cast a spotlight on how technology and emerging social behaviors and insights are promoting new paths to global peace.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. TEDxHayward is operated under license from TED and is a program of local, self-organized events to bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Speakers from a wide range of focus areas are slated to speak, including: (View agenda for complete list)

Siobhan Nielland, founder of ShaBoom products, donates a portion of all proceeds to the OneMama organization.
