In a recent episode of “Undercover Boss”, Tim White, Chancellor of University of California, Riverside, went undercover as “Pete Weston” to evaluate the way his school is running, and what can be done to improve it. Chancellor Timothy P. White has wasted no time in making his mark on the UCR campus and the community since the Regents of the University of California appointed him in May 2008. He has launched an ambitious 10-year strategic plan to take the campus to new levels of nationally recognized excellence. White’s academic background in physiology, kinesiology and human biodynamics have brought him recognition for his work in muscle plasticity, injury and aging.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he immigrated to Northern California. White is a first-generation college student who has matriculated within every college system in California. Beginning at Diablo Valley Community College in the Bay Area, then he earned a bachelor’s from Fresno State University and a master's from Cal State East Bay, finally earning a Ph.D. at UC Berkeley.
