KPIX-TV (CBS 5 San Francisco) reporter Cate Cauguiran visited the Hayward Campus of Cal State East Bay Wednesday, Nov. 13, to interview students who have coordinated a relief effort to help those devasted by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Janella Ravina, president of the Filipino American Student Association (PASA), told the reporter that they "couldn't sit around watching as people suffered. As college students, we're trying to provide for our motherland."

Today (Thursday) is the last day of the collection drive by CSUEB students. Donations - including monetary, first aid, personal hygiene and nonpershiable food items - may be dropped off in front of the University Union from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
