Tours of Campus

See Our Campus From The Comfort of Your Home

Interested in seeing our beautiful campus and hearing from current students from your living room? Follow the link below to visit our Welcome Day: A Virtual Experience where you can access a student panel, tours, and more!

Due to the Bay Area Shelter-in-Place, all Welcome Center services are available online: No campus tours are being given at this time.

Weekday Tours for Prospective Students and Families

We welcome groups of 5 or less to visit campus. Tours are offered Monday-Friday at 11am and 2pm. Reservations requested; walk-ins welcome

  • Learn about Cal State East Bay academics, campus life, and join a 45-60 minute walking tour of our beautiful campus overlooking the San Francisco Bay

  • Tours are led by our Student Ambassadors- current students each with a unique perspective on East Bay and the transition to campus life 

  • Housing is not currently open for visitors

Due to the Bay Area Shelter-in-Place, the Welcome Center will be moving all services online. For inquires please email us at At this time we will not be providing campus tours. We apologize for any inconvenience. 


Campus Tours for School and Community Groups

Group tours are offered during weekdays 9:30am-3:30pm for groups of 15-60 people

  • Special requests: if you have a group of more than 60 people or if you would like a specific start time, please indicate in the Special Requests box on the Group Tour Request Form

  • Walking tours are 45-60 minutes

  • Housing and other departments on campus are not currently available for visitors

  • If you are coming with a bus, please find a map for bus parking here

Tours for Future Students and Families on Select Saturdays

Saturday tours are special events where groups of 5 or less can have a fun, immersive visit to campus on the weekends

  • Hear about admissions and next steps after being admitted by a Pre-Admissions Counselor

  • Interact with a student panel who will share their real experiences as a Cal State East Bay Pioneer

  • Take a 45-60 minute walking tour with an optional Housing tour after

  • Our upcoming Saturday Tour Events are May 9th

  • Already admitted for Fall 2020? Attend Welcome Day on Saturday April 18th instead! 

March 14th Saturday tour is now closed. Please check back with us in April for our next Saturday tour on May 9th.

Self-Guided Tours for When Guided Tours are Not Available

If you cannot attend a scheduled tour, please come to campus any time to take a Self-Guided tour. You can move at your own pace and at your own time. There are two options for Self-Guided tours:

Parking permits available through the Welcome Center for Self-Guided tours during office hours.

Getting to Your Tour

Navigating to Campus

Tours start at Cal State East Bay's Welcome Center:
25800 Carlos Bee Blvd Hayward, CA 94542
Student and Faculty Support Building, adjacent to Parking Lot H
Bottom Floor: Suite 122 

If you use Google Maps, enter "Welcome Center Cal State East Bay" in order to be navigated directly to our building

If taking BART to Hayward, exit at the Hayward station (not South Hayward). There is a Free Campus Shuttle that picks up outside and will bring you to directly in front of the Student and Faculty Support Building. This shuttle is dedicated for students and small groups only.

Parking on Campus

Cars: park in Lot H. There are 5 parking spaces reserved for Tour attendees in front of the Student and Faculty Support building, right next to a large white cross walk. All cars on campus require parking permits Monday-Friday. Tour attendees will receive free parking permits when they check in at the Welcome Center.

Shuttles and Buses: park along East Loop Road (outside of Lots G & H). If East Loop Road is full, buses may park in the very back of lots G & H. No permit is needed.
