Important: Changes to Duration of Status and F-1/J-1 Rules

We are aware of DHS's Final Ruling Duration of Status and reviewing the final ruling and content provided by the community. Once we have a better understanding of the impact on our new and current students, we will share this information out with you through an online or in-person meeting. Of note, no rules to CPT, OPT, STEM, or other regulations have changed. While we acknowledge that these changes will impact our F-1 and J-1 students, please know that our team will guide you through this.

The Center for International Education provides a range of immigration and advising services to newly-admitted and continuing international students and scholars making the transition to Cal State East Bay and the United States. In addition, the Center serves to expand international learning opportunities for current Cal State East Bay faculty, staff, and students and plays a key role in promoting Cal State East Bay as the university of choice in the international markets.
