a special day for admitted undergraduate freshman/transfer students and their families on

Saturday, April 22. 

Please join us to get a more in depth look at Cal State East Bay and learn about its four academic colleges, 50 bachelor's degrees, student support services, student life and leadership programs and more!

This event is highly recommended for students who are still making their final college selection. We want to show you why we think Cal State East Bay should be your first choice university! Please note that Welcome Day is not a substitution for Orientation or GE Advising Sessions for Freshman.

At Welcome Day 2017 you and your family will have numerous avenues through which you can connect with the Proud Pioneer community and culture. In addition to attending a diverse range of optional presentations, you can also stop by our University Showcase to create meaningful connections and gather valuable information. Feel free to reference this year's 2017 Welcome Day Program and Official Map to get an idea of all of the wonderful opportunities that we have in store for you! 

Fall 2017 Admission Information

At Cal State East Bay, we offer 50 baccalaureate degrees and 60 minors! From financial aid counseling, to the support of enrollment counselors and student ambassadors, we'll help you to learn about the many opportunities made possible at Cal State East Bay.

Optional Next Steps Admission Information presentations will be offered for both Freshman and Transfer students at this event. Graduate students should contact their program directly for next steps admission details. 

If you have decided that Cal State East Bay is the place for you, accept your offer of admission at the event, receive East Bay swag, and have your family picture taken of this commemorative moment! Remember that May 1st is the deadline to accept your offer of admission!

Campus Tours and Campus Life

Cal State East Bay offers an inspiring setting for personal growth, career exploration, academic achievement, and friendship. It's also the perfect place to appreciate a 360-degree panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay from the serenity of the Hayward Hills. At Welcome Day 2017, you can choose to take part in Campus Tours, Housing Tours, and Recreation and Wellness (RAW) Tours! There are several hotel and motel choices conveniently located within 5 miles of Cal State East Bay's Hayward Campus that can accommodate visitors. Cal State East Bay's Hayward Campus is easily accessible by major freeways and public transportation. Visit our Driving Directions website for more information and remember to check local road and freeway reports to ensure that your drive is convenient. Please be advised that Cal State East Bay is committed to providing equal and integrated access for individuals and families with disabilities. The university has created a Detailed Map which highlights the accessibility features for major buildings and areas including automatic doors, ramps, and elevators.
