Is there a cost to attend Transfer Academy?

Thanks to our generous financial sponsors, there is no cost for your participation in this program. Parking on campus is free to attendees, and public transportation is available at a minimal cost. Students from outside the area must arrange for their own overnight accommodations.

Is attendance required for admission?

Admitted students are not required to attend the Transfer Academy to maintain their admission to Cal State East Bay.

Can I attend the Transfer Academy if I have not accepted my offer of admission to Cal State East Bay?

No, this event is for all undergraduate students who have accepted their offer of admission to Cal State East Bay.

Do I have to attend all five days of the academy?

Yes, attendance at all five days is required.

Can I come to the Transfer Academy even if I didn't register in advance?

No, walk-in students are not allowed the day of the event. Limited space is available, apply early.

Is the Transfer Academy the same as Orientation?

No, Transfer Academy is not a substitution for mandatory Orientation – nor GE advising – for transfer students.

Transfer Academy is a free 5-day event for admitted students to get a head start learning their way around Cal State East Bay and to become familiar with the whole range of campus programs, services, and resources available.
