The California State University (CSU) does not discriminate on the basis of age, genetic information, marital status, medical condition, nationality, race or ethnicity (including color and ancestry), religion (or religious creed), veteran or military status, disability (physical and mental), and gender (or sex), gender identity (including transgender), gender expression or sexual orientation - as these terms are defined in CSU policy - in its programs and activities, including admission and access, retention or graduation of students, and decisions regarding the employment, retention or promotion of employees.. Federal and state laws, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the California Equity in Higher Education Act, prohibit such discrimination. The Discrimination, Harassment & Retaliation Administrator of Risk Management & Internal Control has been designated to coordinate the efforts to comply with all applicable federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination on these bases.
