Financial Aid

  • Financial aid disbursements for the spring 2019 semester will not be impacted by the federal government shutdown. However, financial aid applicants who still need to complete verification paperwork or who recently submitted their FAFSA application may have to wait until after the government reopens to receive their aid. If you are waiting to be awarded for the spring 2019 semester:
    • You can request a financial aid fee deferral to prevent being dropped from classes for nonpayment.
    • You can charge up to $500 on your Pioneer Bookstore account to buy textbooks, computers and necessary supplies such as notebooks, pens and calculators at the bookstore. You must pay back the $500 to your university student account by Feb. 28.
  • Suspended from financial aid? Be sure to submit your SAP Appeal before February 2, 2019.
  • Spring Admitted students will need to submit a 2018-2019 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to receive aid in the Spring Semester.
  • Ready to get your books for Spring semester? You can use your Pioneer Bookstore Account between Dec. 7 - Feb 28.
  • Apply for aid for next Fall, submit the 2019-2020 FAFSA or Dream Application before March 2.
