Rolla E. Lewis, Ed.D, NCC, is  professor emeritus in educational psychology where he was school counseling coordinator, 2006-2014. His research and scholarly interests are informed by an eco-relational model. He has passion for using a participatory inquiry process for guiding action research designed to promote the learning power and well being of all students. He teaches the use of structured narratives in counseling and supervision. He is a board member of the Oregon School-Based Health Alliance.

When at Portland State University (PSU), he was recognized twice with the Civic Engagement Award for creating programs that build upon local knowledge and community service. Dr. Lewis has published numerous chapters and articles, and has developed web-based venues for professional school counselors to share what works best in their learning communities to construct programs that help all students live up to their greatest potential. He was awarded the Oregon Counseling Association's Leona Tyler Award for outstanding contributions to professional counseling.
