Dr. Bill Harrington serves as Adjunct Lecturer in music education teaching classes in basic brass, music appreciation, and music theory.  Dr. Harrington is also Music Director of the East Bay Youth Orchestras (EBYO). EBYO works in collaboration with the music department to provide performance and coaching experience to CSUEB music majors.  Dr. Harrington graduated with a four-year full scholarship in French Horn from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and holds an M.A. in Music from CSUEB along with a California Lifetime Teaching Credential in Music. He graduated from Boston University with a Doctorate in Music Education.  

Dr. Harrington is Past President of the California Orchestra Directors Association (CODA), Music Director at Patten Academy and Minister of Music at Christian Cathedral in Oakland.  A strong advocate for chamber music, each summer he directs the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop on the campus of Humboldt State University. As a professional musician, Dr. Harrington has performed French horn with virtually every professional orchestra in the greater Bay Area, currently playing with the Modesto Symphony, the Fremont Symphony, the Brassworks of San Francisco Brass Quintet, and Lamplighters Operetta Company.
